The mission of the Ypsilanti Community Music Program is to provide all students with a safe, positive learning environment to find and express their musical passion; to educate students with an engaging, sequential, and comprehensive curriculum. We believe that the discipline of the musical study challenges students to strive for mastery and excellence. Participation in musical activity develops a strong work ethic and cultural awareness. Through the universal language of music, it is our intent to equip students with the tools for building lasting relationships and a life-long involvement in music.
